"This is the third biotech company I have used the Artel MVS system at and I find it so extremely useful. We have a very sensitive gravimetric system as well but the Artel just fills so many gaps for our lab automation team. Channel to channel variation in 96/384 heads, environmental insensitivity, and we can even get deep into the weeds of nL dispenses. All of which is not doable with an analytical scale. I know budget approvers balk at the cost but I still maintain the quality and utility is so high that I am confident that it is worth the investment as you scale your lab automation platform."

"We use the Artel MVS system to verify the accuracy & precision of our 7 Tecan EVO 96 channel liquid handling robots weekly. Our results are reproducible. The system is VERY easy to use. It tells you every step using very simple words. You can make up your own scripts for your use or use the ones provided. We began using the MVS system to verify the precision & accuracy of our devices because everything is trackable-the plates, and solutions all have barcodes. These barcodes can be tracked back to a lot number from the manufacturer. I also went through the Artel pipette training, which was very helpful to learn proper technique and our pipetting skills were tested on the MVS system."

I can’t say enough about the team of service technicians there. Questions are answered in a timely fashion. "The system is very easy to use however making more flexible plate layout formats would be nice. For instance, I routinely evaluate a 4-channel pipette with this system using a 384-well plate and the software will not analyze this format so I'm forced to collect data as a single channel and export to other software (i.e. - JMP) to analyse each channel independently. As far as customer support, I've always been pleased with Artel. Regarding value, the system is rather expensive for what it actually does. That being said, the ability to verify pipetting accuracy so easily is worth the cost so the value is significant, despite the high price tag. A more affordable option may find greater traction in smaller labs that want to maintain good pipetting practices without too much capital investment."

"I use the instrument to check and verify the automated liquid handler pipetting performance in a needed base. It is very reliable and the dynamic of the volume verification ranges meet our need. The instrument itself and the software are easy to use but just sometime gets lost from the menu bar. The after sales care is awesome and I cannot have any complains. The supporting team staffs are very knowledgeable and friendly. Whenever you have any issues, they are always there for you. Your issues normally could be resolved on the same day. Since I don't know the exact the cost, I couldn't fairly provide the values for money, however, it exceeded my expectation."

I would suggest to novice users of the system to measure the amount of reagent needed for your transfer and discard the remainder. "This instrument is incredibly easy to use and the software is easy for users once set-up in the fashion desired. We used to calibrate our instruments utilizing in-house diluted fluorescent reagents and it would take about a week to perform all technique/tip calibrations on an instrument, whereas the MVS has enabled us to accomplish all of that in a day. The reagents are a bit expensive, but considering the amount of time we used to spend calibrating 10 liquid handlers, it paid for itself within the first year or two.
