AmpliTaq® DNA Polymerase is a 94 kDa ultra-pure, gelatin-free, thermostable, recombinant DNA polymerase obtained by expression of a modified form of the Thermus aquaticus Taq DNA polymerase gene in E. coli.
It is the most thoroughly characterized enzyme available for the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) process and its recombinant nature and purification method provide unparalleled purity and reproducibility, vial-to-vial, lot-to-lot.
AmpliTaq® DNA Polymerase is the most thoroughly characterized enzyme available for the PCR process, a testimony to its overall utility and efficacy.
Its thermal activity profile makes it ideal for PCR applications.
It is QC tested to guarantee reproducible results.
Ideal for PCR The thermal activity profile of AmpliTaq® DNA Polymerase is ideal for PCR applications because its optimal activity is in the same range at which stringent annealing of primers occurs (55°C–75°C). The enzyme's half-life is ~40 minutes at 95°C, providing thermostability that meets the requirements of most difficult PCR applications.
