"The product is superb, and rugged for my routine analysis. Regarding the instrument, there is not any concern, but the engineer service needs to improve. I have had a great experience with the same instrument in a previous organization. In this current organization, there was monopoly of another manufacturer instrument. We face challenges in a few methods on that instrument, then I recommend for Agilent HPLC instrument and after that challenges get resolved. Monopoly of another manufacturer is also over. "

As a qualification specialist, I'm satisfied in terms of service and spare part supply chain. rom a user's perspective, Agilent HPLCs are almost impossible to breakdown. Despite some major breakdowns due to vacuum pump or mainboard issues there is no issue with the equipment. The only issue we face is the compartment doors. Because of the weak plastic on the column compartment particularly, it usually breaks. We needed to fix the part with a plastic cuff."

"We have 150 chemist, who want to use LC-MS to monitor their reaction mixtures. So we gave them an Agilent LC-MS (or rather 4), 2 with acidic gradient and 2 basic gradient, using Masshunter walk in software and only thing that we, the analytical chemists, have to do is feed the LC-MS with solvent. It is very easy to use even if you know nothing about an LC-MS (often they see it as a black box, that givest hem nice peaks and good masses). Best part is that we can take time to improve our methods instead of putting in samples."

"I have used a HPLC instruments from various manufacturers but it is Agilent Instruments 1100 and above, that I always return to when I require high performance with ease of use. The Agilent 1200 Infinity series offers this with the flexibility of utilising high pressures (600 bar - 1260 SL) and reduced delay volumes for rapid analysis LC. The modular design also allows for flexibility to configure The telephone and online support from Agilent is very good although you need to have a registered account to access some online content/applications. The instrumentation is compatible with Waters Empower 2 and above although a firmware upgrade/downgrade may be needed for some modules. The highlight for me has always been the quality of the Autosampler modules. The use of mainpass flow through needle was pioneered, and until recently under patent, by Agilent (HP). This results in minimal carryover and large injection volume range, e.g. 0.1uL to 100uL. "

"I had used Agilent 1200 LC system for five years. The 1200 system is extremely easy to operate and have much better sensitivity (compared to 1100 system). I attached the system with Agilent 6320 ion trap mass spectrometer and it served as my real work horse. I am very grateful for the service of the instruments from the Agilent service engineers. I will definitely recommend the system. The 1200 series has emerged as even better system now. If I purchase the 1200 system, I will definitely look for the most sensitive DAD unit and the pump that can operate at higher pressure (600 bar was for initial 1200 system, but 1290 can operate at 1200 bar). The UHPLC system gives much faster data acquisition and saves time when a number of samples need to be analyzed. "

"We bought a 1260 HPLC system in 2013 and we had many problems with the autosampler. Sequence stopped in the middle of runs due to a ''mechanical failure''. Agilent technicians came many times to solve this problem, and they changed almost every part of the autosampler, during 6 months. They finally found that it was an electronic board. After changing this everything was working well. We also had problem with software installation (Ezchrom), with Advanced security settings. Now it's working well. "
