Good system
Application Area: Archeology- material scince
"The Confocal Raman Microscope is a really effective tool in my centre. It's really nice. Some modifications are still needed, like enhancing the software and implementing an automatic approach to the focal point by IR laser like that implemented in the microtome 200 confocal microscope from Pico quant."

True research machine
Application Area:Laser spectroscopy
"Alpha 300 RAS is a very nice combined system. The idea of the true block is very nice to the unwanted radiation. The presence of scanning near field microscope (SNOM) and Atomic force microscope combined with the Raman confocal microscope, gives the opportunity to see the surface morphology by AFM and the inside morphology by the SNOM in addition to the chemical image done by Raman confocal microscope."

Can't live without this instrument!
Application Area:Analyze metabolites in tissue samples
"The equipment is so easy to learn to use. As a part time student, there are portions of this that I don't quite understand, The manual is good, but there are some portions that I couldn't understand too. I believe I would never regret buying this instrument! Thank you!"

The equipment is unique, powerful and they also combine two Raman and AFM techniques.
Application Area:Materials Characterization
"With training it is possible to handle the equipment well. The problem is to get the most out of it, it would make it easier for trainers to not only show ideal cases or test specimens, but also their own more imperfect samples. The after sales service responds if required to questions, however they plan the exact fulfillments in guaranteed maintenance and not necessarily in the manner the client requests. The quality versus price ratio is very good, given the high technology of the equipment, its functionality and potential."

Great joy. I wouldn't swap my WITec with any other instrument currently available.
Application Area:Raman imaging to analyze distributions of additives in polymers and coatings.
"The powerful software is amazing. It helped me to do projects I could not do before. Added value to our businesses for sure. I would recommend Witec microscopes without any hesitation, especially to research groups."

Fantastic instrument for all types of non-biological and biological materials!
Application Area:Biomedical engineering
"The WITec alpha300 has been a staple in our lab for its ability for high-resolution, relatively quick, 3D volumetric Raman scanning of both metallics and biological materials (including cells). While the software could be improved, WITec is constantly striving to provide new capabilities and stunning post-sales customer care."

It is the best Raman imaging system I have ever seen, good job WITec
Application Area:Cancer spectral diagnosis in cytology, evaluation of pharmacokinetics and therapeutic effect of ant
"I worked with the WiTec Raman microscope for 6 years. I used this system to detect cancer cells in urine samples of cancer patients, and also to detect the uptake, distribution, and metabolism of drugs in cancer cells. This microscopic system has a robust spectral imaging capability. I have been able to produce 9 publications based on the results acquired from the Witec system. The data quality is so high that we have been able to publish it in prestiges journals such as Angewandete Chemie, Analytical Chemistry, and Scientific Reports. I am very impressed with the high stability of the WITec instrument. In our lab, it is working 24/7 even over weekends without any problems and we did not need to do any major repairs or parts replacement, it is really a self sustainable system. I have guided many students to use this system, the running procedure and the software were easy to handle. It would have been great if WITec would add a Z layer control parameter in the Raster Scan, but I think it may have been implemented in the new versions of the WITec microscopes. The WiTec service experts were highly responsive, efficient, and Friendly. Through online sessions they have been able to solve any problem that may occur."

Very good, reliable and easy to use system, which produces excellent research output
Application Area:Brain tissue analysis, polymer science, Hydrogels, corrosion research, geology
"The microscope is part of our range of instruments within a multi-user scanning probe microscopy facility. It's very popular amongst or users because of its ease of use and the high-quality research that can be performed on it. The system is robust and reliable. Being able to perform co-localised AFM and confocal Raman measurements is a huge advantage, in particular because all components are from one manufacturer, and the system is run with one easy to use operating software. Service and support from WITec are excellent."
The WITec alpha300 RA correlative microscope fuses the most powerful chemical and topographic imaging techniques into one fully-integrated instrument. Our confocal Raman imaging technology leads the industry in speed, sensitivity and resolution. Our AFM provides unrivaled versatility and user-friendliness. Combined these methods allow chemical characterizations to be linked to the AFM topographic information from the same sample area and even simultaneous AFM-Raman data acquisition is made possible.
Precise mechanical components, optimized optics and cutting-edge electronics ensure that the user receives the full benefits of both measurement modes. With WITec’s unique AFM objective, switching between confocal Raman imaging, AFM and standard optical microscopy is as easy as rotating the objective turret. All standard Raman and AFM modes are available and the accompanying WITec Suite software and UHTS spectrometer series set the standard for accessibility and performance.
Researchers seeking to understand the chemical and physical properties of a sample from every angle have a system that covers the full range of their ambitions. The alpha300 RA can be ordered to meet the demands of a specific experiment, or it can upgraded as research develops. It features rock-solid stability, the freedom of modularity, and the seamless integration only available from the company that pioneered correlative microscopy, WITec.
Options include:
TrueSurface – For rough, inclined or irregularly-shaped samples. This module enables topographic Raman imaging, which keeps the surface, or a set distance below the surface, in constant focus during the measurement with little, if any, sample preparation.
TruePower – For setting the excitation laser power in absolute 0.1mW steps, with closed-loop monitoring and effortless documentation. This is not a relative power determination as is often the case with neutral density filter-based attenuators, but a real, useful and reproducible experimental parameter controlled through the same software as all other settings.
Applications:
• Pharmaceutical research (drug distribution, drug delivery systems, ...)
• Life Sciences and Biomedicine (live cell examinations, tissues, biomineralization ...)
• Forensics (material analyses, inks, ...)
• Materials science & nanotechnology (2D materials, nanoparticles, surface analyses, ...)
• Coatings and thin films (layer build-up and thickness, depth profiles, homogeneity ...)
• Photovoltaics and semiconductors (strain analyses, coatings, ...)
• Characterization of polymers (surface structures, crystallinity, ...)
• Nanolithography
