"Operation: Easy to operate Reproducibility: Excellent Maintainance: 1. Freezing fluid levels need to check periodically. A low level may give false results. 2. Sample bots are not reusable. 3. Daily calibration needs to be performed 4. Spares are expensive This works on principle of freezing point depression. Samples with osmolality less than 2000 mOsm/kg can be measured. Samples that cannot freeze (e.g. Propylene glycol, Ethanol etc.) cannot be analyzed using this instrument."

"This instrument -3320 replaced in our lab the legend :- Advanced 3MO+ , which was the best osmometer we have ever used. 3MO+ still serves in our satellite lab. This is 19 years of excellent measurements. The only service was replacement of themistors and impactor. Also we buy new calibration screw lost by our technician .It is a pity that the production of this best osmometer - 3MO+ was stopped. Back to 3320: instrument has similar excellent reproducibility and precision as 3MO+. During 5 years we replaced only the thermistor nothing else. 20 ul sample is acceptable volume. It is suitable for small and medium labs."
