ACQUITY UPLC™ BEH HILIC columns contain the rugged 1.7 μm unbonded BEH particles and are designed to retain and separate very polar basic compounds. These unique columns are optimized and tested to produce efficient and reproducible separations under UPLC™ HILIC conditions.
ACQUITY UPLC™ BEH HILIC columns overcome a major weakness of HILIC stationary phases: chemical stability. The unbonded silica stationary phases often used in HILIC are prone to dissolution at neutral pH. The rugged BEH particle’s wide usable pH range overcomes this pH limitation and results in long column lifetimes.
ACQUITY UPLC™ BEH HILIC columns offer advantages such as retention and separation of very polar basic compounds, alternate selectivity as compared to reversed-phase chromatography, increased ESI-MS sensitivity, easier sample preparation, high efficiency and long column lifetimes.
