Bioneer’s AccuPrep® GMO DNA Extraction Kit allows rapid DNA extraction from agricultural and food products to detect genetically modified organisms (GMOs). The AccuPrep GMO DNA Extraction Kit yields large amounts of high-purity DNA; for example, 20~40 μg of plant DNA for 1 g of powdered bean, with an average A260/A280 ratio greater than 1.8.

AccuPrep GMO DNA Extraction Kit works on the principle that DNA, In the presence of chaotropic salt, binds to glass fibers fixed in a column. Proteins and other contaminants are removed during washing steps, and the DNA is isolated and eluted in the final elution step. The process does not require the use of organic solvents or ethanol precipitation step; therefore, it is ideal for safe and convenient extraction DNA from a variety of botanical sources such as beans and corns.
