AccQ-Tag™ and AccQ•Fluor™ Amino Acid Chemistries
Amino acid analysis is a well established technique that has been successfully used for the analysis of proteins and peptides. Obtaining accurate amino acid composition from protein/peptide hydrolysates, physiologic fluids, feeds, foods, pharmaceutical preparations, and a myriad of other samples is an important analytical technique.
Waters AccQ.Tag™ and AccQ•Fluor™ technologies have proven pre-column derivitization reagents, dedicated reversed-phase columns, HPLC eluents, and methods for the analysis of these important biocompounds. The AccQ•Tag™ Method is based on a derivatizing reagent developed specifically for amino acid analysis. Waters AccQ•Fluor™ Reagent (6-aminoquinolyl-N-hydroxysuccinimidyl carbamate, or AQC) is an N-hydroxysuccinimide-activated heterocyclic carbamate, a new class of amine-derivatizing compounds.
