"The software is very useful for ELISA regarding different cytokine measurements. The customer service is great. Annually the device in which Magellan is used, is revised and calibrated. Update options are mentioned as well by the manufacturer. Our GMP-oriented assay is fulfilled due to the GMP tracker option. We are very satisfied in the lab with it."

"Our Tecan sunrise reader is lying idle because of a permanent licence problem in the computer, we updated the computer and afterwards was unable to reinstall the magellan CD. Now, this valuable instrument lies idle. We do have a second reader available in the laboratory which is running. Next time we won’t think of a Tecan product."

Magellan supports the complete line of Tecan microplate readers enabling quick and easy measurements of samples for both first-time and expert users alike. A versatile user interface and powerful data reduction capabilities enable the optimization of sophisticated experimental work as well as making routine tasks easy.
Tecan’s Common Notification System (CNS) is now available for the Infinite® PRO series of microplate readers, allowing users to remotely monitor the status of any Infinite reader using Magellan™ software (v7.2). With CNS, users can easily check if their Infinite reader is performing a measurement, awaiting a predefined user action, or ready for the next assay plate.
CNS allows readers to be remotely monitored through any networked computer or mobile device, offering increased walkaway times and giving laboratory scientists the freedom to perform other tasks while their assays are running. This innovative feature is particularly useful for overnight operations, such as long-term microbial studies with the patent-pending Gas Control Module (GCM™), ensuring greater process security and alerting the user if there is a problem, for example running low on oxygen or carbon dioxide. Together with the existing Freedom EVO® Remote for monitoring of liquid handling instruments, this latest addition to the CNS portfolio provides complete peace of mind for walkaway laboratory automation.

- Magellan Standard – intended as reader control and data analysis software for research use in pharmaceutical, biotechnological and life science industries, for food analysis and veterinary applications. Magellan Standard supports all plate formats up to 1536-wells and allows endpoint and kinetic data analysis, analysis of multi-label assays and multiple plates as well as spectra calculation and 3D scans.
- Magellan Tracker – offers all functionality for compliance with the FDA regulation 21 CFR part 11 for electronic records and signatures and with the European Directive 98/79/EC (IVD-D) in addition to the functionality of Magellan Standard.
Magellan Tracker performs full qualitative and quantitative EIA analysis and is the ideal partner for running ELISA assays on the Infinite® F50 or the Tecan Sunrise™ microplate reader.
