Examples of materials that can be processed with the 96 Well Plate Shaker include: alloys, bone, conifers, grains, hair, minerals, plants, seeds, soil, synthetic material, tissue samples and waste material. The plate shaker can shake 2 x 96 well plates at speeds up to 30 vibrations per second. Consistent lysis of starting materials across the entire plate length is routinely observed.
