Eles não exigem uma dependência total de especialistas da Metrohm. No que diz respeito ao atendimento pós-venda, minha experiência tem sido positiva, sem grandes preocupações. Quanto ao custo-benefício, ele varia de acordo com a aplicação desejada. Equipamentos mais completos, com recursos como eliminação de matriz, duas bombas, duas colunas, dois detectores, supressores de gás carbônico e químico, degaseificadores, entre outros, tendem a ter um preço mais elevado. Portanto, é importante estar disposto a investir mais caso se busque um equipamento completo. Por fim, em termos de colunas cromatográficas, a Metrohm possui um portfólio um pouco limitado para ácidos, ânions e aminas. Existem outras empresas no mercado com uma variedade maior de opções. No entanto, destaco positivamente as colunas da Metrohm com polímero de álcool de polivinila de 5 micrômetros, como a Metrosep A supp 5 e 7. A Metrohm também oferece a coluna supp 4, que é mais limitada em termos de aplicações, mas eficaz para análises de amostras simples. The strength of this Metrohm equipment lies in its ability to adapt to my specific needs and the type of samples I work with. Its ease of handling and simplicity in installing consumables and modules are notable aspects. My 10 years of experience in the area has allowed me to work with various models, from the oldest to the most recent, such as the 940 model. I can safely say that this equipment provides solid and reproducible results, as long as it is used with the stationary phase, the mobile phase and sample preparation procedures appropriate for the type of sample in question. Experience plays a key role in obtaining reliable results. With these chromatographs, I had the opportunity to develop and optimize various methods, as well as perform maintenance, including complete system decontamination and replacement of parts and modules, such as columns, due to the remarkable flexibility of this equipment. They do not require complete dependence on Metrohm experts. Regarding after-sales service, my experience has been positive, without any major concerns. As for cost-benefit, it varies depending on the desired application. More complete equipment, with features such as matrix elimination, two pumps, two columns, two detectors, carbon dioxide and chemical gas suppressors, degassers, among others, tend to have a higher price. Therefore, it is important to be willing to invest more if you are looking for complete equipment. Finally, in terms of chromatographic columns, Metrohm has a somewhat limited portfolio for acids, anions and amines. There are other companies on the market with a greater variety of options. However, I positively highlight Metrohm columns with 5 micrometer polyvinyl alcohol polymer, such as the Metrosep A supp 5 and 7. Metrohm also offers the supp 4 column, which is more limited in terms of applications, but effective for analysis of simple samples.""

"Metrohm's Compact IC Flex Ion Chromatograph is a great instrument. They took a lot of time to make it easy to use. We mainly use it to analyze industrial waters and oil field waters. The most common thing we analyze is anions and the results match other wet methods we have for comparison. I am very happy with the repeatability of the instrument. They sell guard columns to protect the main column which is a great feature to have and save money in the long run. The software is user friendly and easy to use to control the instrument. I think that the reprocessing of the data is simple. You can run multiple methods on the same column as long as you are using the same eluent and have calibrated for each method. This is handy for our applications since sometimes we have very fresh water and very produced water with extremely high chlorides and low other ions. The service contracts are convenient and well worth the money to have somebody come out once a year and tune up the instrument. They always leave it in better working condition. The support team is fantastic as well and can help work through problems or new applications that you wish to run. The only difficulties I have sometimes is remembering how to replumb it for other applications that I occasionally have to do or getting the fittings to stay in place and not have the tubing slip out."

"This is the first IC I have operated, I am an ICP operator. The software is user friendly once you get used to it. The manual needs to be updated, there was recommended PM in the manual that do NOT apply anymore and I spent money on consumables that were not required. There could be better descriptions on processing data, what to look for in peaks, eliminating interferences or drifts."

We have two, one for anions and the other for cations. We analyze aqueous samples and impurities in our final product. Although the software controls all aspects of the instrument's use, it has zero reprocessing capabilities of the analyzed samples. It is not possible to reprocess a sample with a different method.
