Makes great lysates, but can easily become inoperable.

"This mill is versatile and creates a reproducible product every time I use it. There is a large amount of time and liquid nitrogen spent in prepping the machine, so using it over traditional methods doesn't save time. It is very efficient in generating lysates that are consistent and reproducible. The big downside to this piece of equipment is that the on-board electronics tend to seize if the unit becomes too cold, which is very easy when using liquid nitrogen. Typically, the machine can be used for one run before it must be completely warmed up to room temperature before subsequent use. This model can handle up to 20 grams of material at a time with the right accessories, so they can alleviate problems with downtime."

Upon evaluation of your unit our service technician determined the problems you encountered were related to a power supply problem and was not caused by liquid nitrogen. Our Freezer/Mills are fully insulated and are designed to run continuously with liquid nitrogen without affecting the control panel. We look forward to your continued usage of the repaired mill.
