"The instrument is excellent with high mass resolution. The Metlin database is very good to identify biomolecules. Mass hunter software is compatible with high mass biomolecules like protein. Good instrument for lipidomics/metabolomics. But mind the detector warning!

"Very sensitive instrument with a very reliable HPLC unit. System is mostly used for lipidomics/metabolomics as the resolution is is good enough for those applications. I think it has 2 problems: 1. The pipe for the reference ions regularly clogs. 2. Detector was getting old way to faster. I recommend users to ask this issue and upgrade the power supply of the detector. That made a huge difference. I am really happy with the software to run the system. Service engineers both remote and field: are polite nice and very helpful. "

"Extremely sensitive, highly capable instrument which can achieve sub-1ppm mass accuracy with very little user effort due to the auto-tune and auto-calibrate functionality, which in turn makes this the easiest to us ToF I have experienced. The software is somewhat complex but with training and practice it can be mastered to a good level in a reasonable amount of time."

"The main challenge when we talk about Screening application is Software's Workflow, considering adjusts of parameters to build search criteria for different types of samples, and Lab Environmental requirements about quality of Solvents and Reagents . We know that "screening applications universe" is complex and "open for anything", but would be interesting if this solution provide a pre-defined workflow for the main type of samples."

"We found Agilent 6550 QTOF LCMs very easy to use and extremely sensitive. All of the instruments operations are made streamlined with the software along with the supporting materials. By employing ion funnel technology in combination with 4GHz processing, Agilent has achieved making this instrument very sensitive and selective for Metabolomics application for both cell extracts and body fluids. It also provides speedy data collection.
