"Overall the 1260 Infinity II LC system is a very robust system. It provides very reproducible results. The system is easy to learn has a nice interface that is easy to learn and use. One recommendation I have for Agilent would be to have a smart system that can flush itself with solvent if an error occurs instead of letting the mobile phase which may have water sit in the system (e.g. missing vial). The after-sales care is good, they are easy to reach by phone and almost always are able to solve problems over the phone. Overall I am very satisfied with this instrument."

"Ease of use score of 5/5 is based on users having HPLC experience, as HPLCs are complicated instruments for a new starter. However the hardware for these instruments is very straightforward to use for somebody with said experience, and the software interface allows for very good remote control of the instrument to the point I wouldn't be able to think of anything extra required. After-sales care rating of 4/5 is based on Agilent having readily talked to our staff about these new systems when asked, with the aim of educating analysts who have used older agilent models, and what the 1260s can offer compared to those older models. Value for money rating of 3/5 is based on not having spent money on other systems, nor having to compare prices/functionality so cannot accurately compare to other manufacturers."

"We purchased this instrument to replace our Agilent 1090 and be able to maintain the data libraries that were collected over 30 years. We purchased a large volume injector and it is as accurate at both large and small volume injections essentially replacing 2 instruments. Comparing the software to other instruments we have, it has a couple drawbacks. We cannot re-process the data while reviewing it and the file storage is not as versatile as our other software. Overall it has been great and the reporting is easier to set up than most. "
