Product News: LGC Applies the Science of Compliance with X-docs

LGC has extended its use of GXPi’s Enterprise Compliance Platform (GECP) and X-docs™ electronic document management software. Following a successful six month trial in its recently-renamed Laboratory & Managed Services division, LGC will now utilize X-docs™ and complimentary X-forms™ to ensure that all documentation pertaining to its standard operating procedures, policies guides and audit management will be easier to create, maintain and retrieve across the division in the UK and US.

LGC is an international life sciences measurement and testing company. It provides reference materials, proficiency testing, genomics and analytical products and services which underpin the safety, health and security of the public to customers in the Pharmaceutical, Agricultural Bioscience, Food and Environment, Government and Academia, Security and Sports markets.

The organization is now using GXPi’s products to ensure it stays compliant with regulatory demands on both sides of the Atlantic.

X-docs™ should be in full operation by the end of April, as Dr David Butler, Director, Quality, H&S, Environmental explains: “We gave GXPi the task of having a new system tested, validated and populated within a very short timescale. They passed that test with flying colors, and having now used the system for six months we believe it will add a great deal of value to other areas of our organization’.

“The GECP gives us an expandable SharePoint platform that delivers a highly effective eDMS and Audit Management Solution. Properly implemented it offers compliance with EMA and FDA regulation, with the added bonus that we can quickly tailor the system to meet the varied requirements of each site or division. This mixture of a configurable platform and products and the use of automated installation tools has made the decision to roll-out the use of the GXPi products a very easy one.
