INHECO Develops a New Cooling Unit

Leica Biosystems has launched the new cooling unit called RM Cool Clamp for Leica’s Rotation Microtoms (RM 2200 series). The RM Cool Clamp has been developed on the authority of Leica by INHECO and is now transferred to series production by INHECO.
The innovative design allows generating a temperature difference of 20°C from ambient to keep the tissues, embedded in paraffin, cool. Keeping the tissue at low temperatures, especially in warm ambient conditions, enhances the cut quality, in particular of slices as thin as 1µm.
