Researchers Can Now Tailor Make Their Own UV Viewing Systems
13 Sep 2012

The Spectroline® CC-80 and CC-81 ultraviolet viewing systems provide unequaled fluorescence analysis and “no-wait” photo-documentation of research findings. Scientists can select from eight “snap-on” camera adapters, so the systems can be used with any 35mm SLR camera or with any of seven different Polaroid cameras. The CC-80 and CC-81 are ideal for use in chromatography, electrophoresis, genetic research, photoresist coating inspection, forensic science and much more.

Researchers can custom design their own photo-documentation systems by choosing from a wide range of Spectroline UV lamps that are available in 254, 312 and 365nm wavelengths. For even
higher UV intensity and greater fluorescent contrast, users can select from 29 Spectroline UV transilluminators. A removable bottom panel allows either unit to be placed directly over the transilluminator.

Both the CC-80 and CC-81 have built-in white light sources that provide visible illumination for easy preparation of samples. The cabinet housing is constructed from durable aluminum for long-lasting use. Each cabinet accepts standard electrophoresis gels and up to two 8 x 8 inch (20 x 20 cm) TLC plates. The CC-81 is identical to the CC-80, but it is equipped with a high-intensity Spectroline long wave/short wave UV lamp, making it a complete system.
