Product News: Enhanced Capabilities Include Full 3D Volume Display for Raman SpectroscopyHORIBA Scientific, global leader in Raman spectroscopy systems, is proud to announce the release of a major update to its acclaimed LabSpec 6 Raman spectroscopy software platform.
Featuring a new 3D Surface and Volume display module, LabSpec 6.3 is fully compatible with high resolution confocal volume maps acquired with HORIBA’s range of Raman microscopes. With full control of map rotation, transparency, filtering and slicing, it is now very easy to view the internal chemical structure of complex heterogeneous samples.
Topographic images from HORIBA’s range of combined Raman-AFM (Atomic Force Microscopes) and TERS (Tip-Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy) systems can also be rendered by the module, benefitting from full 3D surface display with super-imposed chemical distribution maps.
Innovation and improvements throughout the software also include fully customizable templates for fast personalized reporting, HORIBA’s OneClick easy Raman acquisition tool, and the addition of Partial Least Squares to its multivariate analysis line-up. It also retains the advanced Raman-Particle characterization capabilities of the ParticleFinderTM module.
LabSpec 6 is simple yet powerful software, which allows researchers to handle advanced analytical functionalities in multi-user environments, without needing to learn a new software platform.
“This new release for our LabSpec 6 software further enhances our commitment to simplify the intricacies of Raman spectroscopy for scientists and researchers,” said Dr. Simon FitzGerald, Raman Software Product Manager at HORIBA. “It provides our customers with unique tools to visualize the internal structure of a sample based on chemical composition, getting them quickly to the answers they need about the sample’s real life structure.”
