Infrared / FTIR
Infrared spectroscopy measures the absorption of infrared light by a sample to facilitate identification of analytes. A common type of infrared spectroscopy is Fourier transform (FTIR), which uses an interferometer as well as an infrared source, detector, mirrors and processing software.
