Application Note: Using ICP-MS and Mass Profiler Professional to Determine the Effect of Storage Temperature and Packaging Type on the Trace Metal Composition of Wine

This application note describes an ICP-MS method developed to detect more than 20 trace metals in wine that can be used for studying the impact of packaging and storage conditions on the trace metal composition. Statistical analysis using Mass Profiler Professional software reveals that patterns in the concentrations of trace elements that were indicative of the packaging and storage conditions used for a particular sample.
