Application Note: Single-Stranded Conformation Polymorphism (SSCP) on Applied Biosystems Capillary Electrophoresis Systems
13 August 2007
Many researchers in the field of non-human genomics must screen and find mutations in a large number of samples. One widely used technique to achieve this goal is single-stranded conformation polymorphism (SSCP) analysis, which can also be used to characterize genotypes in paternity testing. This application note describes how researchers use the CAP to perform mutation screening with SSCP.
