6 Mar 2013

Gamma-Hydroxy-butyrate (GHB) is a metabolic by-product of 1,4-Butanediol, a solvent used in the production of certain plastics and fibers. 1,4-Butanediol has also been used as a recreational substance. This application note presents a sensitive, selective, and robust method developed on the Agilent 220 Quadrupole Ion Trap using EI-MS for the identification and quantification of GHB in biological samples.
