Trace Analysis of Potable Water by On-line SPE LCMS-MS Employing Thermal Gradient Focusing and Dual Ion Funnel Technologies

This note highlights automated on-line solid phase extraction (SPE) coupled with LC/Triple Quadrupole MS/MS. This coupling enables low level detection of target analytes in potable and environmental waters. It shows that advances in both SPE and MS results in a 5-10 fold increase in analyte detection limits. Standard analytical grade pesticide mixtures were used in this study.
