This white paper assesses how multiplex assays can assist in the fight against Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) through the presentation of a number of case studies. NTDs are a group of parasitic, bacterial, and viral infections affecting primarily the most impoverished and vulnerable populations in the world, and rank as the fourth-most devastating group of communicable diseases globally, behind only lower respiratory infections, HIV, and diarrheal diseases.
