Application Note: Sulfur and Ultra-Low Chlorine in Crude Oil

The simultaneous analysis of sulfur and ultra-low chlorine in crude oil is demonstrated in this application note using the Rigaku NEX CG EDXRF analyzer. The versatility of the NEX CG for multi-element analysis make it an ideal tool for measuring many other elements and oil matrices such as lube oils, wear metals in oils, used oils and waste oil, as well as ultra-low sulfur measurement in diesel and gasoline, giving the user versatility for analysis throughout the petroleum industry.
