Stability of Human Growth Hormone (hGH)

hGH (or somatotropin) is synthesized in the anterior pituitary (hypophysis). A malfunction of the pituitary gland can lead to pituitary dwarfism. As treatment a hGH solution can be injected. Demonstrated in this application note is an experiment in the temperature scanning mode. This will provide information about the thermal stability of the hormone and therefore the processes of denaturation and aggregation can then be investigated.
