This application note by MaxCyte presents examples of ion channel screening using CHO K1 cells that were transiently transfected with plasmids encoding voltage gated potassium channels. The MaxCyte® STX™ Scalable Transfection System enables rapid production of cells for high throughput ion channel assays and cells are shown to exhibit good membrane integrity.
