Transmission sampling using KBr pellets is a terrific way to analyze powders in the infrared for quantitative or qualitative purposes. In this application note PIKE technologies present their perfect pellet recipe. This is a hybrid of methods developed by a generation of pellet making spectroscopists and entails multiple steps of applied force and evacuation.
