Optimizing Quadrupole Interfaces in a Lens-free Triple Quadrupole
10 August 2012

This application note explains the patent pending concept ‘Lens-free Decoupler’ removes undesired large levels of ‘RF cross-talk’ , caused when two quadrupoles are near in space, which can cause MS/MS sensitivity to vary significantly. A ‘Lens-Free Decoupler’ interface self-cancels the RF cross-talk while keeping the advantages of a lens-free design: optimum MS/MS efficiency, minimal tuning and robust operation.
