Application Note: Oasis PRiME HLB Cartridges for Rapid and Effective Removal of Chlorophyll from QuEChERS Spinach Extracts

The QuEChERS method is highly effective for extraction of a wide range of pesticides from fruits and vegetables. After initial extraction, dispersive solid phase extraction (dSPE) is typically used for cleanup prior to chromatographic analysis. Among the interfering substances found in many vegetables, chlorophyll is particularly bad for gas chromatography and can quickly result in severe contamination of the column in use. This application note presents Oasis PRiME HLB Cartridges as an effective alternative cleanup method to dSPE with no loss of planar pesticides.
