Application Note: Monitoring Photochemical Reactions of Nucleic Acids In Vitro Using the Mithras LB 940 Multimode Plate Reader

This application note describes how the Mithras LB 940 coupled to a red diode array light source can be used to study photochemical reactions controlled by nucleic acids in vitro. It details a method for studying the properties of nucleic acid dependent photosensitizer In(III)(pyropheophorbide-a). By utilizing the Mithras LB 940 for monitoring the photochemical reactions for absorbance, the studies can be done quickly and precisely.
