Metabolic Profiling of Pancreatic Cancer: Bridging the Gap between Mitochondrial Genotype and Phenotype
20 May 2013

The aim of the study presented in this scientific poster is to profile metabolic differences between pancreatic tumors and normal cells, and determine the relative contribution of mitochondrial genetic mutations on these phenotypes. Significant variation in respiration rates were observed between normal pancreatic cells and cell lines derived from patient tumors. These findings were reflected in differences in expression of various mitochondrial electron transport chain subunits in tumor cell lines.
