Application Note: Investigation of Imidacloprid Toxicity on the Central Nervous System of the Snail Lymnaea Stagnalis by Targeted Metabolomics
2 September 2015

Imidacloprid (IMI) is a neonicotinoid pesticide that shows adverse effects on non-target species as well. To assess imidacloprid-induced sub-lethal effects a targeted metabolomics study was carried out on the central nervous system (CNS) of L. stagnalis exposed to environmental relevant concentration of this insecticide. The data analysis pipeline allowed the identification of 12 potential biomarkers for IMI exposure.
