Investigating Cell Adhesion in Melanoma Progression

In this application note cell adhesion is investigated within an isogenic model of melanoma progression highlighting the importance played by shear stress. Using Cellix’s biochips and Mirus pumping system, melanoma cell (WM793, WM793—1, WM793-P2 and 1205Lu) adhesion to rhVCAM-1 is investigated to provide insight into the mechanism of metastasis.
