High Performance Peptide Mapping Using Varian Capillary LC Columns
30 Jul 2008
Proteomics studies have played more and more important roles in drug development and biomarker discovery. Proteins in a sample (body fluids, serum/plasma, or tissue extract) are separated and identified by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS). For protein-based biomarkers, the use of multidimensional LC coupled with MS and MS-MS is becoming a standard technology.
This application note describes the how Varian capillary LC columns can be used for LC-MS separation of a tryptic digest of Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA).
