High Capacity Sample Cleaning for Pesticide Residue Analysis Using the Example of Different Matrices

In this application note, the often used Bio-Beads SX-3 stationary phase is compared with the new EuroClean GPC material from Knauer regarding performance and suitability for environmental and food laboratories. It compares the cleaning for pesticide residue of two sample matrices (olive oil and seawater sediment). EuroClean GPC gel and Knauer’s automated GPC Cleanup Unit 6500 were used to prove robustness and applicability for sample cleaning. They attempt to show how the EuroClean method to faster run times and solvent savings due to a shorter column length being required.
