Evaluation of X‐MAN™ G13D Standard in a K‐Ras Genotyping Assay
13 April 2012

Mutations in the K-Ras oncogene are frequently found in human cancers. Detection of K‐Ras mutations in genomic DNA is possible using a variety of amplification/detection technologies directed at exons 12 and 13 of the oncogene. In this application note, Horizon’s new X‐MAN™ genomic DNA Standard was used in its routine K‐Ras assay to evaluate how efficiently it can detect the G13D (Gly13Asp) mutation.
