Determination of Organic Compounds in Drinking Water Using Empore™ Extraction Disks

This application note demonstrates a liquid-solid extraction and capillary column gas chromatography/mass spectrometry method for determination of organic compounds in drinking water. A one litre water sample is passed through an Empore™ extraction disk and eluted with ethyl acetate and methylene chloride before being dried, reduced and analysed by GC/MS.
