Application Note: Detecting Traces of Perchlorate in Drinking Water
14 October 2016

Perchlorate is a contaminate of drinking water and originates from sources such as disinfectants and propellants. This application note describes the use of the Metrosep A Supp 7 150/4.0 column to separate perchlorate from other anions to allow for detection with sequential suppression and conductivity detection. The Metrosep A Supp 7 150/4.0 is the ideal separation column for the analysis of alkaline and earth alkaline metals in aqueous media. It also shows a significantly reduced matrix influence compared to the 250/4.0 column.
