The purpose of this note is to provide comparative information and data to assist in the selection of the best crystal material for specific ATR sampling applications. Factors considered include: throughput, spectral range, crystal material hardness and pH tolerance, and refractive index. Crystal design factors are also considered such as size and how well it accommodates liquids, solids and other sample forms.
