Characterizing Polyethylene Glycol (PEG) by Synapt High Definition Mass Spectrometry (HDMS)
1 Nov 2007

Polyethylene glycol (PEG) is often attached to biopharmaceuticals to improve their pharmalogical properties.  A low quality PEG will lead to poor performance to quality testing is critical.

Due to its molecular complexity, the characterization of PEG is difficult.  This application note describes how High Definition MS, combining high-efficiency ion mobility (IMS) and high-performance tandem MS, has been used to examine PEG composition.
