Blood Cell Separation Using Commercial Gradient Reagents and Centrifugation
5 October 2006

Centrifugation is a primary method for processing blood because of its high throughput and versatility. Whole blood can be easily and reproducibly fractionated into different components through differential centrifugation and selective removal. The separated blood components can subsequently be used for their respective clinical and scientific applications and investigations. This application note describes the use of the Avanti® J-E High Performance Centrifuge in blood cell separation.
