Assessment of Extracellular Acidification using a Fluorescence-Based Assay

A time-resolved fluorescence assay from Luxcel was utilized to measure extracellular acidification in this application note from BMG LABTECH. Analysis of cellular glycolytic flux as a measure of cell physiology is designed to be easy and convenient using the FLUOstar Omega microplate reader. Results show that the instrument provides robust assay readout, and the MARS data analysis software enables a signal conversion into a convenient H+ scale display.
