Application of a Triggered MRM Database and Library for the Quantification and Identification of Pesticides in Food Extracts
30 Jan 2013

False positive identifications of pesticides in food products are a major concern for official control labs. This application note describes the development of a triggered MRM database and library for more than 300 pesticides. It illustrates its use to analyze a range of food commodities with an LC/MS method developed for a specific suite of 120 pesticide residues. It is shown that triggered MRM in combinations with library searching against reference spectral library reliably eliminates false positives.
