An AlphaScreen® SureFire® Phospho-ERK1/2 Assay Performed on BMG LABTECH’s POLARstar Omega

GPCRs are a large family of receptors which have a broad involvement in cellular responses affecting many important body functions. An approach to measure Gi and Gq coupled receptors is the utilization of the ERK phosphorylation cascade. In this application note the POLARstar Omega microplate reader from BMG LABTECH is used to detect ERK phosphorylation using an AlphaScreen® Surefire® proximity-based assay in 384-well format.
