Accurate and Repeatable Measurement of Fine Crystalline APIs using Laser Diffraction
13 May 2013

Solid active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) are best to be measured in their original dry state in order to receive a reliable characterization of the particle size distribution. To achieve meaningful results from laser diffraction analysis, dosing and dispersion of the sample is performed by the dry dispersion system RODOS & VIBRI. Dispersed particles are being fed to the measuring zone of the modular laser diffraction sensor HELOS as a free aerosol jet. The particle size spectrum is determined with the highest degree of accuracy, repeatability and reproducibility.
