Application Note: Expanded Analyte Isolation of Weakly- or Transiently-Bound Species through ESP™ and the Gilson EXTRACTMAN®
20 December 2017
Most proteins perform their function through interaction with other molecules, including other proteins. These protein-protein complexes may occur constitutively or transiently with varying levels of affinity. Identifying the proteins that form these functional complexes may help researchers to understand a process or disease. One approach for identifying protein-protein interactions is co-immuno-precipitation (Co-IP). This application note describes how Gilson’s EXTRACTMAN® was used to isolate a previously undetected protein-protein complex.
