In this video Wolfgang Hempell from Olympus Europa Holding GmbH tells SelectScicence about the IX83 inverted microscope, the most advanced member of the new IX3 series launched at EMC 2012. One of the unique features of the IX83 is that it has been designed to adapt to the research needs of every user. An ‘open access’ frame design makes it quick and easy to swap components such as motorized fluorescence turrets and magnification changers in and out of the light path. Wolfgang also discusses how the IX83 provides exceptional stability and minimal drift, ensuring that even the longest time-lapse experiments will generate reliable and accurate results.
