In this video Prof Lance Price, from the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health at George Washington University, tells SelectScience about his pioneering work using genomic epidemiology to understand antibiotic resistance. His laboratory regularly has thousands of bacterial isolates that require characterization using whole genome sequencing. Lance explains how the Biomek System and SPRIworks HT Kit from Beckman Coulter enable his lab to accurately process many more samples than could be achieved previously.
