Next Generation Sequencing for Clinical and Research Genomics

Dr. Christopher Mason, an Associate Professor of Computational Genomics at Weill Cornell Medical College, was responsible for organizing the extremely popular User Group Meeting entitled “Next Generation Sequencing for Clinical and Research Genomics” at MipTec 2012. Dr. Mason tells SelectScience about some of the talks held, such as high throughput sequencing methods used in genomics, DNA and RNA sequencing methods and transcriptomic profiling. The future applications of genome sequencing in drug discovery and personalized medicine are also discussed. Interview filmed at MipTec 2012 by SelectScience.
